Subjects experienced a 10 percent decrease in total and regional fat mass in as little as 12 weeks. The steady-state cardio group spent twice as much time working out compared to the HIIT group. WebSpecifically, the participants burned 348 calories with steady-state cardio, 329 calories with high-intensity interval training, and just 271 calories with sprint-interval training. It’s worth noting that the steady-state workout was slightly longer than the other two, but only by about 7 minutes.
